Self-Employed Cleaner & Operational Helper

Working across Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Taunton & all over Somerset

Hi there! 👋

We’re a friendly, local home services business right here in Somerset – we do everything from regular cleaning and home repairs to patios, painting and garden work. We’re looking for someone reliable and hardworking to come and join our small team, and help us look after our lovely customers! We’ve got loads of regular bookings coming in, and plenty of work ready to go.

A little bit about the role

This is a self-employed, zero-hours position – so we can fit work around what suits you best. We can’t promise set hours every week, but we’ll always offer you work as soon as it comes in.

Cleaning is the main part of the role, but you’ll also get stuck in with supporting our other services too – lots of variety, and great if you like getting hands-on! You don’t need experience in our other services at all – we’ll mostly need you helping with getting things ready, clearing up, and general in-and-out support, so no tricky skills needed there.

💷 Pay

• Our main areas (Bridgwater, Burnham & Taunton): £13.00 – £15.00 per hour

• Jobs further out around Somerset: we pay you more! – to cover your extra travel time and fuel costs

• Weekly pay every Friday for all work completed 😊

✅ What we’re looking for

• You’ve got your own car, a full driving licence, and business insurance on your vehicle (this one’s really important!)

• You take real pride in doing a good job, especially with cleaning

• You’re reliable, honest, and turn up when you say you will

• You’re happy to follow instructions but also use your initiative

• Keen to have a go at different tasks and lend a hand where needed

📝 What you’ll be helping us with

✅ Cleaning (core part of the role):

• Weekly, fortnightly & monthly home cleans

• One-off deep cleans

• Oven, hob, fridge, washing machine & tumble dryer deep cleans

• Extractor fan cleans and more

🔧 Plus supporting our other services:

• Helping with prep, clearing up, and general jobs around home maintenance, patios, jet washing, painting, and garden work

• No experience needed here at all – we’ll show you what to do, and it’s mostly helping get things ready and tidy up afterwards

📌 Quick note

As you’re self-employed, you’ll look after your own tax, National Insurance and expenses yourself. We’re flexible with hours – just tell us when you’re free!
